All youth are warmly invited to a special Youth Night at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Parish in Edmonton on Saturday, May 16 at 4:00 p.m.
As the school year and parish season begin to slow down for the summer months, this gathering will focus on an important question for young Christians:
How do we continue to live our faith and witness the Gospel during summer vacation?
The evening will begin with a beautiful Moleben to the Mother of God, giving everyone an opportunity to pray together and place the summer months under the protection and guidance of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Following the prayer service, youth will take part in an open and meaningful discussion about remaining close to God during the summer, keeping good values and friendships, attending church, and being a Christian witness wherever life takes us — whether at work, school, camps, vacations, or time spent with friends and family.
The gathering will also include pizza, games, fellowship, and time to simply enjoy being together in a welcoming and faith-filled atmosphere.
These monthly youth gatherings at St. Nicholas Parish, organized and led by seminarian Marko Koval from Holy Spirit Seminary in Edmonton with the support of parish priest Fr. Slavko Dumeč, have become a place where young people can ask questions, grow spiritually, and build lasting friendships rooted in faith.
This May gathering will also serve as the final youth meeting of the season before the summer break, with regular meetings expected to resume again in September.
Whether you are already active in parish life or simply searching for a place to belong, all youth are invited to come and bring friends. Everyone is welcome.
