On October 1, we celebrate the beautiful . The feast reminds us of the loving care and intercession of the Mother of God, who continually leads us to her Son, Jesus Christ.
The image of the Theotokos spreading her veil over the faithful reminds us that, in times of joy, uncertainty, suffering, and need, we can place our lives and our families into God’s loving hands. We also pray that, following her example, we may become people who protect, care for, and support one another.
Let us especially pray for peace in Ukraine, for those suffering because of war, for families, and for all who need God’s protection and mercy.
Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 7:00 PM at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church.
