Join us for the Weekly Divine Liturgy at our parish, a beautiful opportunity for worship, reflection, and community bonding in the heart of our spiritual life.
Today, October 31, we come to the final day of our month of special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. In our parish, we continue the beautiful tradition of writing personal and anonymous letters to the Theotokos, entrusting to her our prayers, hopes, and thanksgivings.
During the Divine Liturgy, all your letters will be placed before the altar and blessed, together with your intentions. In the evening, we will gather for a short service and a peaceful procession to the parking lot, where we will burn these blessed letters as a sign of offering and trust — like incense rising to heaven.
This practice, which we also followed in May, reminds us that our prayers are lifted up through Mary’s intercession to her Son. Writing our intentions makes our prayer tangible, and burning them is an act of surrender — a way of saying, “Mother of God, I place everything into your hands.”
May the Theotokos receive our prayers, comfort our hearts, and guide us always toward her Son, Jesus Christ.
Сьогодні, 31 жовтня, ми завершуємо місяць особливої молитви до Пресвятої Богородиці. У нашій парафії ми продовжуємо гарну традицію писати особисті й анонімні листи до Пресвятої Богородиці, довіряючи Їй наші молитви, надії та подяки.
Під час Божественної Літургії всі ваші листи будуть покладені перед престолом і благословлені разом із вашими намірами. Ввечері ми зберемося на коротке богослужіння і молитовну процесію на подвір’я, де урочисто спалимо ці благословенні листи як знак нашої довіри і жертви — мов кадило, що підноситься до неба.
Ця практика, яку ми також здійснювали у травні, нагадує нам, що наші молитви підносяться через заступництво Марії до Її Сина. Записуючи свої прохання, ми робимо нашу молитву відчутною, а спалення листів є актом довіри — ніби ми кажемо: «Богородице, усе віддаю у Твої руки».
Нехай Пресвята Богородиця прийме наші молитви, потішить наші серця і завжди провадить нас до Свого Сина, Ісуса Христа.
