This midweek service allows our congregation to come together to deepen our faith\, find solace in prayer\, and connect. \nThe Significance of the Divine Liturgy\nThe Divine Liturgy is the central act of worship in the Ukrainian Catholic tradition. It is a sacred celebration where we gather as a community to honour and remember the life\, death\, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. During this service\, we participate in the Holy Eucharist\, which is the foundation of our faith and a source of spiritual nourishment. \nWednesdays are particularly special\, offering a pause in the week for spiritual renewal and connection with God. Whether you are a longtime member of our parish or a newcomer seeking a spiritual home\, you are warmly invited to join us for this uplifting experience. \nA Welcoming Environment for All\nOur Weekly Divine Liturgy on Wednesdays is designed to be accessible and welcoming for everyone\, including families and individuals of all ages. Through prayer\, music\, and shared faith\, we can support one another in our journeys of faith. \nThe Nativity Moleben is a special prayer service in the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC)\, celebrated during the Nativity Fast (St. Philip’s Fast) from November 15 to December 24. It is a paraliturgical service of intercession and thanksgiving\, not a substitute for the Divine Liturgy\, designed to help the faithful prepare spiritually for Christ’s birth. \nThe service typically includes: \n\n\nCanon: Nine-ode hymns based on biblical canticles. \n\n\nPsalmody and supplications. \n\n\nBrief Gospel passages (optional). \n\n\nA popular variant\, the Emmanuel Moleben\, emphasizes “God with us” and the fulfillment of prophecy. \nThe Nativity Moleben nurtures devotion\, focuses hearts on the Incarnation\, and complements the Nativity Fast\, reflecting the shared Byzantine heritage of the UGCC and Orthodox Churches. \n
